Challenged by the hillside topography and strict program requirements, this dramatic two-story pavilion addition, oriented to canyon views and the northern sunlight, connects to the existing house by means of a bridge. The bridge, a glass link, is a gallery where selected art pieces are displayed. The interior is animated with intense accents of color from the sunlight filtered through small panes of blue, yellow, red, and clear glass. The overall dramatic addition has enriched the existing home.
